Major General John H. Russell, USMC, was the 16th Commandant of the Marine Corps. The Major General John H. Russell Leadership Award, established in his honor by the Marine Corps University Foundation, is presented annually at a luncheon to a distinguished American whose commitment to personal and professional excellence embodies those qualities of leadership and character uniquely associated with the United States Marine Corps.

This year’s luncheon will be held on October 15, 2025 at the New York Yacht Club at 37 W 44th St #54, New York, NY 10036!

We are planning an excellent luncheon to honor Mr. Timothy Harvey!

Tim Harvey is an accomplished technology executive and decorated former officer in the United States Marine Corps, whose career exemplifies the leadership, integrity, and service that define the Corps’ highest standards. Currently Executive Chairman of VTS, the leading commercial real estate software platform, Tim has led transformative growth across multiple industries. He previously served as CEO of SilverSky, guiding its successful acquisition by BAE Systems, where he became President of Commercial Solutions. His leadership extends to board service at high-impact technology firms currently serving on the boards of BlackSky, OpenWeb, Electric, Keyfactor, NoFraud and Nexus Cognitive.

A graduate of the University of Florida and a proud Marine Corps veteran, Tim served four years as an officer, where he developed the mission-first, team-oriented approach that continues to define his impact in the private sector. In recognition of his distinguished leadership and commitment to service, Tim will be honored with Major General John H. Russell Leadership Award.
