Jack Long, PhD is an AI Adoption and Deployment Manager at OpenAI for Government, where he helps public-sector and enterprise organizations move from AI experimentation to secure, scaled adoption. He works with customers on rollout strategy, enablement, governance, and impact measurement, helping teams turn advanced AI tools into practical organizational capability. He was formerly a McKinsey consultant and executive in a Private Equity portfolio company.

Jack also serves as a Marine Reservist at U.S. Cyber Command. He previously served at the Office of Naval Research from 2020 to 2026, first as Deputy Navy Chief AI Officer. He was later activated to full time service following the CAIO’s retirement, being on active duty from Spring 2023 to Fall 2025. Earlier in his career, Jack spent eight years on active duty in the Marine Corps and deployed six times to Central Command in support of OIF and OEF.
