Our Impact

Our work ensures that Marines are ready to outthink. Outpace. And outfight global threats. See how MCU Foundation drives what’s next for one of the world’s most elite fighting forces.

Creating Global Impact Through Warfighter Education

MCU Foundation addresses federal funding gaps to connect Marines with revolutionary training and education, where and when it’s needed. This support allows Marines to become agile, strategic, and unstoppable wherever they’re stationed worldwide.

A Nonprofit for Marines, By Marines

MCU Foundation was founded in 1980 with a grant from the family of Major General John H. Russell, 16th Commandant of the Marine Corps. Our programs begin with the Marine Corps University at Quantico, and extend to support military education for the Operating Forces throughout the Marine Corps globally.

Strengthening Marine Education Around the World

From battlefield studies to staff rides, lectures to visiting scholar programs, we make it possible to teach Marines how to overwhelm threats and master future conflicts worldwide. Professional Military Education (PME) funding reaches beyond the Marine Corps University at Quantico to Operating Forces and Supporting Establishment globally, solely funded through the generosity of private donors like you.
