From L-R, MCUF President, Mr. Andrew Ammerman; Semper Fidelis Awardee, Mr. Gary Sinise; and Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Christopher J. Mahoney.

We had an amazing night honoring Mr. Gary Sinise on March 29, 2025, at our Black-Tie Annual Semper Fidelis Award Ceremony and Dinner.  The prestigious Semper Fidelis Award is presented annually by The Marine Corps University Foundation to noteworthy Americans.

Past recipients include Presidents George H.W. and George W. Bush; Clint Eastwood, Honorable Colin L. Powell, General James Mattis, the Honorable Antonin Scalia, Mr. Ted Williams, and Col Barney Barnum just to name a few.

2025 also marks the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps in November, and the Marine Corps University Foundation started celebrating early with the first annual presentation of the General Alfred M. Gray National Award for Service and Education!  This award, established in honor of the United States Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary, recognizes a Marine who has made significant contributions to education or community service, embodying the character of General Alfred M. Gray, Jr., the 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Ryan Pavel has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the General Alfred M. Gray Jr. National Award for Service and Education.  Ryan is a Marine Corps veteran, and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Warrior-Scholar Project.

L-R Mr. Andrew Ammerman, General John F. Kelly, Mr. Ryan Pavel, General Christopher J. Mahoney, and BGen Matthew Tracy
