Remembering Angela Blackiston

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our great friend and former Events Director, Mrs. Angela Blackiston on August 1, 2021.  Angela worked with the Marine Corps University Foundation as Director of Events from 2009-2018.  She truly went out of her way to make all our events the very best and was Semper Fidelis in all that she did.  She loved MCUF and her Marine Corps. And all loved her!

She is survived by her husband, CMDR James (Hal) Blackiston, USN (Ret) and her two sons, Caleb and Luke.  The funeral service was held at 11am on August 14 at Pamlico United Methodist Church located in Oriental, NC.  You may watch a broadcast of the funeral HERE.

In lieu of flowers, Hal and the family have asked that donations be made in Angela’s honor and memory be made to the Marine Corps University Foundation.
