Honoring Generosity at Nationals Park

The Marine Corps University Foundation was deeply honored to recognize Don and Ellie Knauss at the Washington Nationals game on August 29, 2025, for their extraordinary $1 million contribution to the Foundation. Their remarkable generosity brought the Foundation to $6 million toward the $10 million goal by November 10, marking the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. A heartfelt thank-you to the Knauss Family Foundation for their unwavering commitment to Marine education and leadership development.

The event at Nationals Park was a memorable evening of camaraderie, patriotism, and baseball as the Washington Nationals took on the Tampa Bay Rays. The celebration honored a historic milestone, the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps, and brought together Marines, supporters, and friends to reflect on the Corps’ proud legacy of service, sacrifice, and excellence.
